Shirley Avidan leads inter-generational
encounters for mothers and daughters in
preparation for Bat-Mitzvah, meetings
between Jewish and Arab mother and
daughter groups, and activities that lead to
creation of future women's leadership
> Facilitating mother-daughter groups with the
goal of creating a supportive space for
inter-generational communication, learning about
important junctures in women's lives, and
addressing issues important to young girls and
their mothers at Bat Mitzvah age and after.
> Facilitating the creation of similar groups for
Arab mothers and adolescent daughters, and
eventually organizing meetings between the
groups
> Creating women's leadership that will share
these skills with additional groups, making use of
traditional sources and creative means such as
art, theater and music.
